Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need a phone line for Alyrica Internet to work?
A. No. Alyrica Internet is completely wireless to your home, meaning that if you have a computer, electrical power, and line of sight to one of our towers, you can use our service.
Q. What is line of sight?
A. Line of sight or LOS means that the client radio must be able to "see" the access point on the tower. The client can not send or receive signal through objects.
Q. If the client must "see" the access point, will it be affected by fog or bad weather?
A. No. LOS does not refer to human sight. The client radio can see the access point in any weather just not through trees, buildings, or hills.
Q. Are there transfer limits?
Q. Why can't I send mail from my phone even though I do receive mail?
Q. Why wont my laptop send mail from anywhere except my home/work?
Q. I have my website hosted with Alyrica, but my contact form (or other script) is not able to send me emails. Emails to 3rd parties work just fine.
A. This is due to an incorrect setting in cPanel. Log into cPanel (http:// cpanel.your website name.com) and click on "MX Entry" under mail. Then select "Automatically Detect Configuration" and push the Change button.
