Title: Network Operations Engineer
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000/year

Alyrica Networks is a growing family-owned Internet Service Provider serving the Willamette valley. For this role we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and grow with the company.
Competencies
- Layer 2 networking (switching and bridging environments)
- Layer 3 networking (Static routing, OSPF, BGP)
- Network Services (DNS, SNMP, RADIUS, TFTP, FIREWALL, etc.)
- Experience with Mikrotik RouterOS
- Virtualization Platforms (VMware & Proxmox)
- Understand 802.11 Wireless Standards
- Fixed Wireless Networking
- Fiber Optic Networking (AE and PON)
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Network Planning and Maintenance
- Change Management
- Tier III Escalation Requests
- Provide exceptional written and verbal communication
- Provide ticketing and process documentation
- Participate in a 4-month night, 8-month day shift rotation
- Participate in a 2 weekend on-call rotation every 8 weeks
- Plan network changes to minimize downtime
- Configure equipment prior to scheduled maintenance/upgrades
- Troubleshoot escalated & assigned network issues
- Monitor network KPI(s) and recommend proactive changes to the network
- Perform other duties as required by the CTO
Physical Requirements
- Work at a desk for extended periods
- Traverse stairs and uneven ground
- The ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to effectively work during a nightshift rotation
- Drive to off-site locations to perform work as required
